The fourth round of Thursday Thunder saw some drivers tighten their grip on championship leads while new challengers emerged in others Thursday night.

The opening three events for The Associates Group Insurance Pro Division saw the spotlight shine on the top trio in the division standings, but Kyle Bacon of Buchanan, Ga., quietly entered Thursday night fourth in the title fight and still within striking distance. To make some noise, the former Semi-Pro division champ would need to do something he had yet to accomplish on the Thunder Ring in Thursday Thunder competition: win a Pro division feature.

With a blisteringly quick qualifying lap of 16.132 seconds, Bacon earned first choice for his starting position in the night’s feature race. Seeking that first win, Bacon elected to start on the pole and never looked back, running 30 flawless laps and holding off second place finisher Nick Woodall (Canton, Ga.) to earn a trip to victory lane for the first time since graduation to the Pro division.

While other championship contenders like Jensen Jorgensen (Stockbridge, Ga.) and Jonathan Taylor (Roswell, Ga.) heavily pursued passing points, Bacon still ended the night as the top points earner in the Pro division. Semi-Pro Division champion gained the most points in the Pro Division feature during last night’s edition of Thursday Thunder.

“We wanted to get a win before we started points chasing,” Bacon said. “Now that we’ve done that, I think we can hunt for the championship.”

With a fourth-place effort after starting shotgun on the field, Jorgensen took the Pro Division championship points lead from Taylor, who finished sixth. With six rounds of competition remaining, just 18 points separate the top four drivers in this hotly contested championship battle.

Phillip Young of Dallas, Ga. took home the win in the Circle C Auto Sales Masters division feature but not without pole sitter Jeff Bolen (Leesville, S.C.) hunting him down in the closing laps. Young gained the lead early in the race when a caution came out involving the front runners before a lap could even be notched.

Bolen battled back to second in the closing laps, threating for Young’s lead but Young ultimately prevailed.

Bryce Sanders of Ola, Ga. drove into round four of Thursday Thunder hoping to go four for four on the season. He did just that, leading flag to flag for the third time in a WJP Investment Semi-Pro division race this season, earning his fourth victory of 2026 in dominant fashion.

Sanders was not the only driver trying to maintain a perfect record through four races of this 29th season of Thursday Thunder; Carson Sherman, of Loganville, Ga., hoped to do the same in the Incentive Risk Management Outlaws division. Sherman not only won in round four, but the defending champion of the Outlaws division also accomplished the feat by leading every lap.

Earlier in the night, Camden Powers (Hernando, Fla.) took the lead on lap fifteen of the twenty lap Incentive Risk Management Bandits division feature to capture the win. Powers held of a hard charging Daylen Pennington to capture his second win of the season on the Thunder Ring.

Powers entered the night second in the Bandits championship battle, but with the victory took over the top spot from competitors Casen Tate (Zebulon, Ga.) and Lucas Harrison (Columbia, Tenn.).

Emerson Laine of Cumming, Ga., broke through for his first win on the Thunder Ring in the Bennett Transportation and Logistics Young Lions division feature. Likewise, Braylee McMillan of Warner Robins, Ga., and Trent Barfield of Hamilton, Ga., earned their first ever wins in the Incentive Risk Management Rookie Bandoleros WJP Investment Chargers racing experiences, respectively.

Thursday Thunder racing continues next week at EchoPark Speedway with Round 5 on Wednesday night, June 17th, and Round 6 on Thursday night, June 18th.
