Speedway Children’s Charities Atlanta is partnering with Tidal Wave Auto Spa for the 18^th year of Tidal Wave’s annual Charity Day event. SCC Atlanta will benefit from proceeds at two of Tidal Wave’s McDonough auto spas.

From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, 100 percent of proceeds from two Tidal Wave Auto Spas in McDonough – 42 Highway 81 in McDonough and its sister location at 915 Highway 81 – will benefit charitable causes. Supporting the cause is as easy as driving up and getting a car wash.

Half of Friday’s proceeds will go to SCC Atlanta to support its mission to help local kids in need; the remaining 50% will go to Tidal Wave's corporate partners: Annandale Village, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing progressive life assistance to adults with developmental disabilities, and The Joseph Sams School, a non-profit organization providing educational and therapeutic support for children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Friday’s event will be the third consecutive year SCC Atlanta has partnered with Tidal Wave Auto Spa for its annual Charity Day. SCC Atlanta is one of 11 local chapters of Speedway Children’s Charities nationwide. Last year, SCC Atlanta distributed $100,000 in grants to support various needs of 12,000 kids in metro Atlanta and Georgia. Causes supported include housing assistance for families in crisis, cancer support services, meal programs, and more.

Over the event's 17-year history, Tidal Wave has donated more than $2.8 million to charitable organizations, with $864,075 raised at last year's event. 2026 marks the company's 18th annual Charity Day event, with 319 participating locations across 30 states.

Tidal Wave Auto Spa is dedicated to making a positive difference in the communities it serves and was honored as a Champion of Charity by Professional Carwashing & Detailing. Beyond its annual Charity Day event, the company also gives back year-round through its fundraising program, which has helped raise over $5 million for local schools, organizations, churches, civic groups, and more.
