Racers from across the country descended upon EchoPark Speedway Saturday for the 29th running of the INEX Racing Series Bandolero Nationals. For the ninth time, the Thunder Ring played host to championship races across three divisions.

Lucas McFall (Boiling Springs, S.C.) displayed incredible poise and persistence throughout the 25-lap Outlaws Championship feature, fending off INEX points leader Carson Sherman (Loganville, Ga.) on several late race restarts to claim his first Bandolero Nationals Championship.

The driver of the 13M started his day from the pole after delivering a blistering qualifying lap. During the early laps McFall and Sherman spent much of their time door to door, but Sherman couldn’t make a pass stick. This theme continued through a litany of cautions and subsequent restarts throughout the feature.

McFall remained focused, fending off the constant pressure from Sherman restart after restart to take the checkered flag and pull into victory lane.

Nearing the end of the INEX points season, the National event provided an opportunity for drivers to boost their position in the standings and, more importantly, prove their worth against the nation’s best.

“It feels even more special” said McFall after the win. “I started my first race here… now I’m going out in my last Bando race winning the biggest race here.”

Daylen Pennington (Stapleton, Ga.) started the Bandits Championship race from the second row, but capitalized on an early incident involving pole sitter Lucas Harrison (Columbia, Tenn.), who suffered a mechanical failure on the second lap while pacing under caution. After seizing the lead Pennington never looked back, pulling away from the field and dominating the remaining 24 laps to become the 2026 Bandits Division Champion.

Earlier in the evening, Chandler Stanley (Rocky Mount, Va.) dominated the field, leading flag to flag en route to victory in the Rookie Bandolero division.
