A NASCAR race weekend at EchoPark Speedway is full of great things to see and do, and the best way to experience it all is by making the track your home away from home.
Camping at the speedway is already a tradition for thousands of race fans. From great amenities to camper-oriented events and simply being here for every moment race weekend has to offer, here are five reasons you should experience your next race in the campgrounds.
- Best value for race weekend lodging
EchoPark Speedway strives to provide affordable options for its NASCAR race weekends and the camping experience is no exception.
The speedway’s campgrounds open days in advance of race day: Monday for exterior campsites, Wednesday for trackside campers, and Thursday afternoon for those staying in the infield.
Whichever option you choose, you’ll pay one price for your entire stay. Campsites start at just $105 for up to seven nights in an unreserved tent or RV campsite during the 2026 Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart.
- Complimentary campground amenities
Campers enjoy the free amenities that EchoPark Speedway has throughout its camping areas.
Complimentary shower houses are conveniently located near each of the speedway’s dry camping areas. There are also several parks for campers to socialize throughout their stay, from the Peach Park in the infield, to Bruton Smith Park between the Fan Zone and family campgrounds, and The Gathering Place in the Legends Campground. The Gathering Place includes cornhole and bocce ball courts plus a dog park for campers to enjoy as a free perk during their stay.
- Free experiences during your stay
The action on EchoPark Speedway’s high banks is the main attraction of a NASCAR event, but race week is filled with more great activities aimed at campers staying at the track.
On Thursday night there’s free grassroots racing on EchoPark Speedway’s ¼-mile Thunder Ring with Thursday Thunder’s Legends and Bandolero cars. On Friday, the Pedal Power Bike Ride gives campers the opportunity to ride bicycles around the facility and even on the 1.54-mile oval itself.
Then there’s the parties, like the Thor Motor Coach Camper Appreciation Party that kicks off the weekend on Friday night in the Fan Zone and the Party in the Peach Pit on Saturday night after the Focused Health 250 – all free for campers staying at the track.
- A perfect campground for any group
Whether you’re looking to party into the night or enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere, EchoPark Speedway has a campground made with your group in mind.
Most campgrounds offer a party atmosphere with quiet hours limited from 12 a.m. to 7 a.m. In the Family Campgrounds, quiet hours start sooner and are enforced by 24-hour security to ensure your family has a safe and enjoyable experience.
To truly be part of the thrilling racing action and the biggest parties, there’s no better place to camp than the infield. Located inside the speedway, these campsites offer views of the racetrack and put you in the middle of the hustle and bustle of race day.
If you’re looking for a no-compromise camping experience, EchoPark Speedway has select premium options with full hook-ups and enhanced service. However, these campsites are the most coveted options and sell out fast. If your desired option is not available, be sure to join our waitlist so you’ll be notified when one of these campsites becomes available!
- Camping maximizes your race weekend experience
Simply put, by camping at the track your group has the most time to enjoy everything that a race weekend has to offer.
Whether you’re taking part in one of the experiences listed above, seeing every moment of on-track action, seeing everything the Fan Zone has to offer, or just enjoying the friendly atmosphere of the campgrounds, staying at the track gives you more time to have fun and make memories that’ll last a lifetime.
